Transfer ipod to pc transfer ipod to mac Do you realize that iTunes only runs one direction? That means you can move all music files in your computer, via iTunes to the iPod, but you can not transfer music files from iPod to computer. With the main reason to avoid the piracy of music, you can not transfer music from your iPod to another computer. This makes sense, though perhaps annoying.
What if your computer is damaged or will be replaced with a new one, and you want to keep your music files with you? You do have an iPod that holds all your favorite music. But how to copy them to a new computer? Well, you need a special application to overcome the problem.
We will use in this experiment is Music Rescue.
Windows users can download it from http://www.kennettnet.co.uk/musicrescue/files/musicrescuesetup.exe,
while Mac OS users can download it from
http://www.kennettnet.co.uk/musicrescue/files/MusicRescue.dmg
The steps are as easy as follow below :
1. Music Rescue install into your PC or Mac
2. Plug your iPod to your PC or Mac that does not have iTunes applications. Remember, this must be done before you run the program.
3. Run Music Rescue. Automatically, he will recognize the iPod is attached to the computer, read the playlists that are stored there, then move it to the playlist Music Rescue who looks similar to iTunes playlist. Fun, he also serves as a music player. You can play songs in a playlist by double-clicking the music file you want to be heard.
4. Music Rescue can copy some or even all the songs on your iPod playlist to your computer. To select a few songs just to copy, you can remove all the check mark in the playlist, then go to the [Rules] on the left side of the display application. After that, select [Unqueue All]. After all empty, manually check any file you want to transfer to your computer.
5. If you want a more practical way to choose the songs you want to move, click the option [Quick Rule] in the [Rules], then select the file anywhere you want to copy or do not want copied. The criteria could be determined by Album, Artist, Bit Rate, Genre, or others. Once done, click [Apply].
6. To start copying a song, press the [Choose] on the left side of the screen. Please browse and click on the folder where you want to be a location to save the MP3 file. After that, click the option [Choose] in a small box, then click the button [Copy] on the right side under the playlist (read the message on it, "Do not steal music").
