Shaolin Kung Fu Tour Dengfeng Still Controversial

shaolin kung fu tour dengfeng still controversial

The Shaolin Temple Kung Fu Monks of China is a swordsman, martial arts warrior who is very famous in the World. But now they are rumored to be utilized to generate income through tourism, the modern economic system!

Mentioned that the local government began to optimize the potential assets of Shaolin warriors of the legendary Buddhist temple that was 1,500 years old as one of "economic assets" for tourists. Local government launched a financial program through utilization transaski "trademark" and embrace the institution of Shaolin China Travel Service (Holdings) Ltd.. This in order to enhance the collection of filthy lucre to at least EUR 146.4 million in foreign exchange earnings. Perhaps the Shaolin Temple will be positioned as a "company entertaint" in the commercialization of tourism.

A spokesman of China Travel Service in Hong Kong confirmed that both parties have agreed to work together on "profit sharing" it.

But in a separate statement, Dongfeng Local Government (it was the location of the temple) in central Henan province, dismissed the news "economic exploitation" in the "stocks" of the temple and the Shaolin warriors.

While the temple of Shaolin Kungfu himself stated that Shaolin is a culture of all societies, they are against "commercialization through shares" and said that they had a tradition that will not change ever.

Discourse of Shaolin, pastors and martial arts are different, especially with Kung Fu, it has developed into a show business companies. This sparked controversy and opposition to the commercialization of the temple business, by the abbot Shi Yongxin.

Since taking over as head of the monastery in 1990, Shi became very aggressive to promote and protect the image of Shaolin. He criticized companies that use and exploit the temple's name or his image without permission and the service as an executive producer for the martial arts film based on the temple.

But the Shanghai-based newspaper, The Oriental Morning, and a number of news mentions that the temple itself is not included in the negotiations between the government and the Dengfeng China Travel Service.

The agreement only related to the filing of the value of EUR 14.6 million for the 51% share in the use of the name Shaolin in the handling of ticket sales, services, cinemas, hotels and tourist bus services in the area of Dengfeng.
