Manual or Automatic Transmission ?

Along with the times, the current technology of new cars has grown very rapidly. Including the components of a functioning vehicle speeds increase, the transmission.

Generally used each car using the manual transmission, real time automatic transmission also exists, but often shunned for being fussy, hard to maintain and resale price of an automatic car then bertransmisi tends to fall.

However, this time should throw away from your mind of negative thought automatic transmission fussy, difficult to be treated, unresponsive and not durable. Transmission of this type of transmission is also a strong and durable when used and cared for.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the hell these two types of this transmission?

First we look at the manual first, this transmission is more commonly known, the treatment was easy, simply with his routine oil change every 15,000 km so the teeth in it will be preserved. When the clutch performance was declining, just replace it and the clutch set maximum performance was back again. Another plus is the acceleration produced by this transmission better and responsive than the automatic. Weakness is pretty exhausting our left leg while driving in the middle of a big city street traffic. About fuel consumption in manual transmission really depends on the driver, when driving with the right technique then fuel consumption will be thrifty, but if not would be wasteful, too.

And what about the automatic? Automatic transmission has a range replacement (total extraction) of oil a longer, generally every 25,000 km if we want our transmission durable and always in the best performance. But every 5000 km oil changes should be done in the transmission oil in his bath alone, generally around 3 liters, unlike the total depletion rate in the range of 8 liters of oil. With routine maintenance is done then do not worry, automatic transmission will be durable and long-lived, maintenance costs may be slightly higher, but in accordance with the comfort we get. When it is stopped for a long time, such as standstill or when the traffic light turned red, the position of the lever must be positioned in the N (neutral) in order not to heat transmission and the clutch does not slip. Problem acceleration is not to worry, because the technology is applied in the automatic transmission is increasingly sophisticated, there are even some automatic transmissions have manual mode. Problem frugality fuel is not always more wasteful than the manual, especially when on the highway with automatic transmission the engine tends to spin at a lower rpm and stable.

So what is a consideration in choosing? If we lived in a small town that rarely freezes and has a hilly road terrain is not wrong if you select a car with manual transmission which will give a good response and more easily handled by a local mechanic, but when we lived in a big city with traffic jams that often confront, do not hesitate to choose the automatic transmission that will provide convenience and comfort
